Attracting new employees and keeping your current people is one of the big challenges for organisations today. A key answer lies in providing growth and development opportunities.
Yet these topics often receive insufficient attention in the workplace. As a manager, you hold the key to the growth and development of your employees and teams. This is not an easy responsibility, but it is necessary for the success of your organisation in rapidly changing environments.
“How do you view learning and learning opportunities? What impact does your view have on the development of others? And how do you stimulate growth in your employees and teams?”
In the interactive training ‘Growth and development interviews’, your cases form our basis. You translate scientific knowledge and new skills to your personal work context.
After this training, you will know exactly what growth and development mean and why they are so important. You will also understand your own attitude towards them, and that of others.
You will learn what your role is in growth and development and how to stimulate this in individuals and teams.
Finally, you learn the right techniques to conduct growth and development interviews on your shop floor, with your employees.
You do this in groups and with a simulation actor. You also work on a personal action plan and we provide you with useful visuals you can use after the training.
You will learn how to maximise your employees’ contribution to your organisation’s objectives without losing commitment and satisfaction. You will be able to motivate and have growth conversations and you will know what your role is in the development of your people.
1. Learn or perish: the mindset of a manager
Do you have a fixed or growth mindset? Your perspective on learning determines the growth and development of your employees and teams in today’s changing environments.
2. Your role as a people leader
Your company and employees grow when organisational goals and personal goals are optimally aligned. That is your objective: ensuring maximum contribution to business objectives and optimal satisfaction and commitment.
3. Growth at individual and team level
Motivation is key to let your employees and teams grow. And you have three buttons for that: autonomy (A), belonging (B) and competence (C). You know how to turn these knobs during a growth conversation.
4. Walk the talk!
Practice and action! In group, with your cases and with an actor, you conduct growth conversations and move towards more motivation in 123, or ABC.
